HI-83214-02 multiparameter COD meter and photometer allows operators to conduct a complete wastewater analysis using a single meter at the touch of a key pad.

This powerful all-in-one product is designed and built to perform COD analysis in accordance with EPA 410.4 and ISO 15705:2002 standards. Ensuring accurate and repeatable results, HI-83214-02 is the ideal tool for documenting waste water treatment processes.

To assist efficient data collection, the instrument can be connected to a PC through an RS232 serial port. Stored measurements can be downloaded using Hanna HI-92000 software.

More about COD
Used as a measurement of pollutants, COD is measured on both influent and effluent water to give an indication of the efficiency of the treatment process. This is normally expressed as COD removal - measured as a percentage of the organic matter purified during the cycle. 

COD measurement can also be used to check pollutant levels in other applications including power plants, chemical manufacturing plants, commercial laundries, pulp and paper mills, agriculture and animal waste run-off as well as in environment studies and general education. 

Selecting the right reagent
COD levels vary depending on the application and process measuring points. 
To help select the correct reagent for your particular requirements, Hanna offers three separate reagent ranges in boxes of 25 vials.
